Post LOST with wordpress app
I wrote a long post on the WordPress app on my iPad earlier today, scheduled to post on the 24th of this month. I just checked the app and it is gone. Is there any way to recover it?
Thanks in advance,
The blog I need help with is umflight.wordpress.com.
Go to Dashboard > Posts > All Posts there you ought to be able to recover a lost post or page from revisions if needs be.
See also if applicable > restoring from trash http://en.support.wordpress.com/trash/#restoring-from-trash
(If you are referring to a Page then see here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-revisions/)
If you cannot locate a revision or restore from Trash the content has been lost and cannot be recovered.
Always create your posts on the dashboard of your own blog at
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New
Immediately after creating a post and entering a title click the save draft link. Thereafter, “click save draft” frequently.
Always allow pages to fully load before clicking any other links.
Never leave a post or page open for content creation or editing and walk away from it. Save it properly and return to edit it later.
Use an offline blog editor so you have backups on your own computer
Thanks! It was in the trash. Also, thanks for all of the other tips. The post is now back on schedule to be posted on the 24th!
For anyone interested my next post will be up tomorrow.
Yay! I love happy endings.
Note: Scheduled posts do not publish until the first visitor to the site after the date and time scheduled clicks in and triggers publication of the post.
Thanks for that note, too. I would have went crazy earlier wondering why my post hadn’t been published if you didn’t post that note.
You’re welcome, John and best wishes.
