I have a self-hosted wordpress blog. I have several .flv and .mov files that I would like to put into a post on my blog. I know that I can embed code from youTube, etc, but I am baffled as to how to upload MY OWN video file. The “upload video/media” button would be an obvious candidate, but no luck.

I would like it to be this simple:
    1 – create a new post
2 – click the “upload a video” button
3 – select the file on my hard drive
    4 – post

I’ve searched around for hours for the answer to this one. Please help. Thanks!

    Thanks for your help :-)

Hi galelou. ok, i did it with vodpod. you need to create an account on youtube , upload videos , then create a account on there you must add the video from youtube to youre account then load on youre blog but before of this you must add the Video widget on youre blog. its easy but you must spend some time before you realize how to do it. Scuze my english… i’m from Romania … if you heard of it :)))
