post not deleting

  1. I accidentally posted an entry twice to my blog ( and have tried to delete one of the postings with no success. It just sits there in the queue, glowing redly at me. How can I convince it to disappear?

  2. Try changing the post status back to draft and then delete it.

  3. Well, now the post has disappeared from the queue, but still shows up on the blog. When I tried to edit I got an error message telling me the post had been deleted.

    But it's still there.

Also, now my home page only shows a single post at a time, rather than the 3 posts I have it set for.

  4. You will require staff help and they do monitor these forum threads. If you do not receive help soon you can use this link during support hours (9-5 PM Pacific) to report this to staff

  5. Try clearing your browser cache and then force reloading the page. It may be a caching issue.

  6. And how do I clear by browser cache? Thanks.

I see 3 posts on your front page now. They are:

Which post is the one that you cannot delete?

  8. kbassler,

In Firefox, you can click on the Tools menu and then select clear private data to clear the cache.

I believe that in IE7, there is an item under Special that will do the same thing. I don't use IE all that much so I could be wrong on this.

  9. timethief: when I look at my site, I see "the sex pistols live on" twice on the front page and then "Sometimes the know it alls...". I've been trying to delete one of the two copies of the sex pistols post.

  10. Aha! Clearing the cache did the trick. Thanks all!

  11. I see only one copy of the Sex Pistols post on your front page.
Which browser and version of it are your using?
Have you cleared your cookies and cache and reloaded your browser?
