Post Not Saving or Publishing

  1. Is there a known problem as of very recently with posting and saving drafts? I have been working on a post for a couple days and went to save the most recent post a little while ago and I get a page that says "Are you sure you want to do this?" with a link below that says "Try again". I click the link and it brings me back to a BLANK post page. I am so upset and frustrated. Please help!! I really want to save and do not want to have to reformat everything (after pasting in Word).

    Please help :(

The blog I need help with is

  2. Let's start with this. Are you logging in under the exact same username account that registered the blog in question?

Clicking this link should display all your blogs registered under the same username, including the hidden ones:
If you do not see the blog here then
    follow this guide >

  3. Next are you running one of the browsers and versions at ? If you aren't then please upgrade.

You may be able to recover an earlier post revision. Go to Posts > All Posts, hover over the title of the post, click Edit and check the Post Revisions module for previous saved versions of the post.

If you're not seeing the Revisions module while on the editor screen, click Screen Options (top right corner of your Admin page) to activate it. Then select the post and page modules to include them. Then you ought to be able to go here > Dashboard > All Posts > Posts and locate the post and recover it from post revisions.

If you cannot locate the post for locating and restoring a post revision, and it's not in your Trash folder then you will not be able to recover it.

Did you create your post on the dashboard of your own blog?
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New

Or did you create your post on the front page of!/post/

Create your posts on the dashboard of your own blog
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New

Or use an offline blog editor so your have backups on your own computer

  4. Thank you so much for your help and I am very glad I posted because that is very handy info. I ended up copying and pasting in a new post and saved that. Then I cleared my history and all that and restarted. It worked fine after that.

Not sure what was wrong. I am the only one who uses the site and I was logged in. I will check to see if I have the latest version of Chrome tho.

Again, thank you for your time!!!

  5. I'm happy to hear you resolved this. You're welcome and best wishes.
