Post slug formatting changed?

I’ve noticed recently (past month or two?) that the way WP automatically determines my post slugs has changed. For example, for a post titled “Aimee Bender – The Particular Sadness of Lemon Cake”, WP used to make the slug “aimee-bender-the-particular-sadness-of-lemon-cake”. Now, however, it’s making the slug to be: “aimee-bender—the-particular-sadness-of-lemon%20cake”. That is, it’s no longer treating the dash in the title as a special character to be removed, and it’s leaving the last space in the title rather than replacing it with a dash.

Is this a bug? A known change in slug formatting? Something for which I can somehow change a setting to get it to revert to the old way of doing things? Or just something I’m going to have to manually fix every time I publish a post? Any help would be appreciated.

The blog I need help with is fyreflybooks.wordpress.com.
