post titles listed in sidebar archive?
-
Is it possible to have the post titles listed in the archive SIDEBAR(not main content area)? All Blogger sites seem to do this, however I cannot find a wordpress theme that does this and would really like the ability to do so.
An example of what I mean would be if someone clicked on April 2010, the sidebar would expand to list all the titles of posts from that month
thanks in advance,
melissa
The blog I need help with is allireallyneed.ca.
No, WP.com doesn’t work that way.

Have you tried the Archives widget? It’s not quite what you want but it may suffice > http://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/archives-widget/
We also have an Archives shortcode you can use on s static page > http://en.support.wordpress.com/archives-shortcode/
From that same Support Doc
By default, the shortcode will produce an index/listing of all published posts on your blog. You can use multiple shortcodes on one post/page and also add it to a Text Widget for use in your sidebar.
Unless you’ve only published a very few posts, I can’t see readers wanting to scroll down through a long list of Post titles in a sidebar.
In addition to the Archives Widget, you could also highlight your favorite posts in a text widget (handcrafted links) or use the Top Posts widget (auto refreshes to your daily popular posts),
Ah, expanding lists… I know that someone wrote a post about this, but I believe it required the CSS upgrade to do it. Will see if I can find the forum discussion and will post back here.
