    posterous backup file more than 15 MB. How can I import these blogs worth 270 MB?

    Thanks for the reply. I haven’t tried splitting, actually I don’t know how to do it. But still will that mean that I will have to split the entire 270 MB in 15 MB files and then import, which would mean, an importing activity of nearly 18 times. Is there an easy way out??



    That’s probably because you’re trying to upload the entire Posterous .zip backup. As detailed at please try just the WordPress .xml file, which will be significantly smaller.

    Would you please let us know which details are incorrect? Our instructions came directly from Posterous.


    The instructions weren’t incorrect. I think they were just incomplete. The idea that .xml flies had to be uploaded once you unzip the posterous backup didn’t quite strike me at first.
