Posting Files...

  1. Hello. I have a wordpress.com account, and I was wondering if I can post a PDF to my blog. I know I can post links, but what about an actual file in PDF format or any other format? Is there a work around if possible. Thanks.

The blog I need help with is cranebookofwisdom.net.

  2. Do you mean that you want the pdf to display within the blog? Or just that you want to be able to upload a pdf and have someone be able to view/download it?

Here is our support page on uploading documents:

  3. Scribd will let you embed a document so you visitors can read it directly

  4. rootjosh: yes, this is what I want to do. Thanks.

auxclass: Thanks for the suggestion. Especially since I never heard of it before now.

  5. Let us know if scribd works out for you.

  6. You be welcome

One thing about Scribd - it loads the entire document when displayed, so you want to have it AFTER a More Tag to keep the front page loading fast and to not annoy visitors

    More Tag

  7. Auxclass makes an excellent point. It's one thing if you are just displaying a little flyer or something. It's significantly different if you are displaying a 10 page document.
