Posts being deleted.
For the past couple of entries I’ve written on my blog, my entries get deleted after I submit them. It’s not saved in the draft folder, it just completely disappears and it only happens when I submit. Has anyone else had this problem lately? It’s really aggravating.

What browser and version are you using?
I have just had the same problem–a post erased after I tried to save it. The versions in the Post revisions links are also empty. I have just downloaded Firefox, but the post remains wordless. Are there any other solutions to this problem? Does the WordPress staff foresee this continuing indefinitely?? It is a very serious problem.

Thanks so much for providing these details. If you are now running Firefox 4.0 your problem may be solved. The more details member who have this issue provide the closer we move towards Staff isolating the problems and providing resolutions. I have flagged this thread so it gets Staff attention.
Did you have any luck with Firefox?
I do recall once a user reported this happening after she’d installed a program on her hard drive that went through her websites to “remove bad code.” The problem was, it defined ALL code as bad and deleted over fifty posts. If you’ve recently installed some sort of add-on to do that, take it off immediately.
Thank you very much for your responses. I have both Firefox 4 and Internet Explorer 9, and my post remains empty on both, and all previous versions remain empty. I haven’t installed any new add ons lately and until today I’ve had no trouble with my posts. I’m anxious about trying again and losing material again. Thank you.
Until the problem is solved, use an offline blog editor like Blogdesk to create your posts. That way you have an offsite backup.

Once it’s open, go to Chrome’s File menu and open a new Incognito Window. This will shut off Chrome’s cache, cookies, and add-ons for the particular window. It’s the best way to make an isolated test without switching to an entirely different computer.
I’m using Internet Explorer 9. It’s happened twice so far.
Thank you, I will try this google chrome–I’m not familiar with it, but I hope it will be easy to use. May I ask whether this is a problem that WordPress is trying to address, or is it some sudden universal browser problem? I’ve found working with WordPress very rewarding and enjoyable, and I want to continue. I very much appreciate how prompt and helpful the response to my query has been. Thank you. Now that I’ve been using Firefox, I’m able to save my post drafts, and the buttons for Save/Update/Publish are right where I want them to be. I hope this will be helpful to other people, and I will let you know the next time I panic.
