posts have disappeared and new one not showing
The last 3 published posts have disappeared from my blog (they were there) and a new one sheduled this morning isn’t showing either.
The strange thing is that they are showing as published in the dashboard. I recently linked my posts to facebook and the one scheduled for this morning is showing there but not on my blog.
When you click on the link in facebook to the post it takes you to a different page.
My blog is tracygracedesigns.com and the Facebook page is also tracygracedesigns
Can anyone help?

My whole site seems to have reverted to what it looked like over a week ago.
Changes made to the menu and categories are no longer showing on the site itself but everything is still up to date in dashboard.
Can someone please help with this?

It looks like your custom domain tracygracedesigns.com isn’t correctly pointed at WordPress.com. This is most likely causing the problems you are seeing on your site.
Please go to your domain registrar’s site and log into the control panel. You will need to update the name servers to the following values:

How long does it usually take to update as it is still pointing to what my site looked like over a week ago?
It can take 48-72 hours for domain changes to take effect everywhere, so you may need to wait a bit for the new name server settings to start working. You can also check with your domain registrar to make sure that the WordPress.com name server values were saved properly.

The problem hasn’t been corrected yet. I don’t understand how the settings can just be lost like this and am even more surprised at how long it takes to update given that I have paid for the domain name as an upgrade from wordpress.
Is there anything you can do to hurry this up or check I have made the update correctly and how can I stop this from happening again?

The problem still isn’t fixed and it has now been like this since the 15th.
Looking at the public data for your domain, http://who.is/whois/tracygracedesigns.com, it appears that your nameservers are still pointing to a different host (appears to be GoDaddy).

Thanks for your email. I am confused though, I bought my domain name via the wordpress upgrade section in admin so don’t know anything about godaddy.
I followed the advice given days ago expecting the name servers to be updated via the upgrade pages, why hasn’t this worked?
Unfortunately I can’t follow these instructions as you have to have an account with with godaddy which I don’t as the domain purchase was done with wordpress via the upgrade options.
I really am going round in circles with this problem and am more and more confused.
I bought this domain name from worpress over a year ago initially and renewed it in august. Everything was fine until 5 days ago. I don’t know anything about godaddy.
How is this going to be resolved quickly?

It appears that in August 2012, you did purchase the domain from WordPress.com, but sometime before May 2013, the domain was transferred to a different registrar, apparently GoDaddy. The public database has the contact information hidden, but references GoDaddy as the registrar: http://who.godaddy.com/whois.aspx?domain=tracygracedesigns.com&prog_id=GoDaddy
Since the domain was no longer registered via WordPress.com, the upgrade on your account shifted from registration to mapping, our upgrade for connecting domains registered elsewhere with WordPress.com.

This really needs sorting out. It can’t have come at a worst time as I am using my blog to advertise an event I am organising which happens in a few weeks. There isn’t any point posting anything as no one can see it.
I had no idea that my domain name circumstances had changed as you describe.
How long is it going to take to sort this out and can it please be treated with some urgency?
For what this is worth, I’m off today, but working between family events only on your issue despite that. When transferring a domain to a different registrar, you have to also pay for another year. Any chance you could review your e-mails from May to determine if you received anything from GoDaddy?
In any event, the nameservers with GoDaddy need to be changed to ns1.wordpress.com, ns2.wordpress.com and ns3.wordpress.com to display your WordPress.com site again at your domain name. Since it is registered with GoDaddy, we can’t make that change.
If you could attempt to login at GoDaddy, and use their recovery process to have your customer number sent to you (requiring your domain name and e-mail address), you could login and make that change, your WordPress.com site would appear again.
Many thanks for working on this, apologies for my frustration but I feel like I am stuck in the middle of this mess through no fault of my own and unable to do anything about it.
I can confirm that until you mentioned go daddy I didn’t even know who they were and have had no contact with them. I have NOT been informed about any of the changes you have described.
To my knowledge, the domain name I purchased was with wordpress and still was.
Essentially, I can’t change the name servers with go daddy as it is not registered in my name and there is no connection between me and the domain name I purchased from wordpress. I liaised with their support in the early hours of this morning and they confirmed they can’t help.
I can’t log in to go daddy as I don’t exist there.
I really am at a loss as to how this can be resolved……
Given that wordpress transferred the domain name they really should sort this.
