Posts with a featured image on the homepage grid
On my blog (Forever theme) I selected the option to show my four latest posts in a neat grid on my home page, but for some reasons there isn’t any featured image above each one.
What do I need to do to have the post image above each excerpt?
Many thanks for your help!
The blog I need help with is temptingspoon.com.
Hi! You will want to set a Featured Image for each post. Please let us know how this works.
thank you very much for getting back to me. I had a look at the link that you sent me but I am not sure what kind of feature image should I use in this case.
Would that be a post thumbnails, an image attached to featured posts or a sticky posts featured image slider? The theme that I am using is Forever.
I am new so I am not really sure what the right choice is and how to do that.
Many thanks for your time and help.
A “Featured Image” is just that. It represents the Post and you upload it in the Featured Image module of your post. See again the Support doc that michaelfields linked to and especially here http://en.support.wordpress.com/featured-images/#setting-a-featured-image
Hi! Thank you very much for your help!
That worked, although I am not sure if it’s more correct to insert the image in to the post first and then set it as a featured images or viceversa. Maybe it doesn’t make any difference. Any suggestions?
Also in the support doc that Michael sent me I read that I should locate the Featured Image module in the bottom right corner under Page Attributes. I managed to find the Feature Image Module but not the Page Attributes. I had a look at the screen options but it’s not there either. Any help?
Many thanks for your time and help. I do appreciate that.
