Privately published pages and image widget

I’d like to put an image to sidebar and when you click it, it will open a page which is privately published. It is private because I don’t want that page visible any other place(e.g the page links under the header image) than the sidebar.

So, I used an image widget. And it works like I want when I’m signed in. When I sign out from wordpress, the private page reads “this is somewhat embarrassing… and so on”

    Any solution?

Private page are only accessible by the site owner, and only when logged in.

Since it doesn’t appear as if you want to limit people seeing the page (just control how they get there) then set the page to pubic and then use a custom menu and do not put that page into the top navigation..

    That worked:) Thank you .
