Problem customizing themes

  1. I'm trying to change the standard photos from the theme into my own photos. I tired first with header photo, managed to upload the photos and crop it to the size required but it doesn't show up on my page. Tried with both Dyad and Goran themes and both didn't work. Am I doing something wrong here?

  2. Hi there,

Did you upload a new image via the Header Image panel of the Customizer? The image I'm currently seeing on your site looks to be your own, but let me know if you're seeing a default image on a specific post or page and I'll take a look with you.

  3. Hi there,

Yes I tried to upload the new image via the header image panel. I've tried with both Dyad and Goran themes but both didn't work. With Dyad, I get a black banner and with Goran, I get a red banner. Only managed to find this current theme where I can successfully customize the banner into my own photo. So not sure if it was that the Dyad and Goran themes don't allow the change of the header image.

  4. Hi there,

I'm very sorry for the delay in my reply to you. We're currently on our annual company retreat (the family meets up once a year to work on improving our services), which means staff replies on this forum may take a little longer until we're back later this week.

To address your question: Goran does not display a header image on a site's posts page. Your site is currently set up to display a listing of your latest posts on the home page, which is why you saw the red banner there with Goran. If you navigate to different pages, you would then see the image. You also have the option of setting a static page for your home page.

Dyad will display the header image on its front page and then featured images will be displayed on individual posts/pages.

You can filter themes in our repository that support custom headers here:

Many themes make use of featured images in a similar way to Dyad and may/may not display a header image on the posts page, like Goran. I encourage you to have a browse and experiment to see if you can find one that works exactly to your needs.

Let me know if that helps out or if extra questions come up.
