I’m a novice just started a blog! I’m trying to upload third party plugins esspecially for contact forms, twitter etc. I have downloaded the various plugins but not uploading to WP is proving difficult. I have read all the so called ‘help me’ notes but still not working if anyone has time to provide me with some simple step by step instructions would be really grateful thank you

The blog I need help with is allaboutchimusic.wordpress.com.

We don’t allow plugins on WordPress.com for security reasons. Plugins are a feature only available for self-hosted blogs provided through WordPress.org. You can find out more about this topic here: http://support.wordpress.com/plugins/

However, we do have several built-in features that were inspired by many popular plugins. You might find what you want by searching for it at http://en.support.wordpress.com/

For more information on the differences between WordPress.com and WordPress.org, please see: http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

@chimusic2, don’t use the stuff you find out on the internet for a guide to working with wordpress.com. The stuff out on the internet is typically for self-hosted wordpress sites, and they are different from the wordpress.com hosting service.

WordPress provides a twitter feed widget, and they also provide a customizable contact form. Both are covered in the support section.
