Problem with Email notification of comments

This just started lately: Whenever someone comments on a new post on my blog, the email notification that I receive tells me that the comment is on a blog post that was published almost 2 years ago! And yet the comments are showing up on the correct article on my blog (usually my latest post).
Under Discussion Settings, I have checked off that Before a Comment Appears “comment author must have a previously approved comment.” And I also have checked off that I should be notified by email whenever anyone posts a comment in my blog.
Any idea what’s going on here?

Yesterday I read somewhere on this forum that if I had one paid upgrade then I could click on the Help button on my Dashboard and get some help. I did that, and had a chat with a WordPress tech. He had to refer my problem to one of the engineers, and,….they fixed it!
