Problem with featured images in theme Twenty Ten

  1. Hello! I am using the theme Twenty Ten, which is lovely. It allows you to have a custom header--and I do. It also should allow for custom page headers, featured images that differ from the main page image. But for some reason, featured images for headers will only display on 2 of the 7 pages of my blog. I have followed the same steps, chosen featured image, updated, made sure all the page details were the same--but regardless, the featured header image appears only twice. Please advise! My blog is
    Thank you!

The blog I need help with is

  2. I have tried to re-upload all images, and I have tried removing and putting the header back in several times.

  3. Could you please provide links to the two pages where you're having trouble so I can have a look? Thanks!

  4. Thank you, Kathryn!
The blog is The first page is static; the next four are supposed to have images of their own, but only show the static page header, thus:

But, the last two pages, Failed Intellectuals and Destination Winona have their own featured images. I just can figure out why they work but the others don't!

  5. Thanks for the links.

I'm seeing a custom header on the above page that says "The Fiction Reboot and the Daily dos" - are you seeing something else?

Could you please try clearing your browser cache? Here are some instructions in case you're not sure how: Browser Issues

Let me know if this helps.

  6. Hi there!
I do see that image, but each of those pages should have their own featured image at the top, just like the page. In the page construction, I chose featured images for each, but it is only working for that one and the Destination Winona page. I made all the pages the same way, so I don't know why the featured images appear only for two of the seven pages. I did clear the cache; but that has not helped. Ideas?

  7. I think I see the problem.

The image you've set as the featured image on this page:

is not wide enough to be used as the header graphic, as it's only 567 pixels in length.

Header graphics must be a minimum of 940px wide, otherwise your default header is used instead.

Let me know if this solves the mystery!

  8. Aha!!! Thank you!! :)

  9. My pleasure, I'm glad this has been sorted out :-)

Just let us know if you need anything else.
