I placed a widget on my blog, one for images, on the right-hand column, but the image gets cut off almost completely because of its size. I would like to find out how to resize it so it doesn’t come out in actual size, but rather is formatted to fit perfectly in the sidebar, so you can see the whole picture.
Here is my blog: http://www.aphoticexposure.wordpress.com/
Thanks to anyone who’ll help!
The blog I need help with is aphoticexposure.wordpress.com.
You can use either desktop image editing software or online image editing software to create and image of the correct size for your sidebar.
Normally that would work, but the widget requires I insert the image URL, and doesn’t let me upload an image straight from my computer. And as the image I provided the URL for is too big for the sidebar… would there be any other solution?
Yes. The easy way to do this is:
1. presize the image to the size that will fit in the sidebar
2. create a draft post and upload the image into it along with any text you require
3. save the draft
4. switch to the Text (HTML) editor in the draft and copy the code
5.open a text widget in another tab and paste the code into it
click “save” and “close” in the text widget
6. view the blog
7. delete the draft post
doesn’t let me upload an image straight from my computer
