Protected WordPress Blog on Technorati & Search Engine

  1. Likely a Technorati issue, but has anyone here had success with Technorati searching a password protected WordPress blog, where Technorati is able to give the proper credentials (name/password) to WordPress and allow for "private" searching?

Also, any clue as to the search engine used by WordPress to search the blog from the blog's page? Does it use Boolean techniques?

  2. @Technorati - probably not as Technorati picks up the feed when a ping goes out. Since a provate blog doesn't ping, it shouldn't be picking up the feed.

The search form is a search directly into the MySQL database. A quick test shows that it doesn't support boolean but I may be wrong.
