Protected WordPress Blog on Technorati & Search Engine

Likely a Technorati issue, but has anyone here had success with Technorati searching a password protected WordPress blog, where Technorati is able to give the proper credentials (name/password) to WordPress and allow for “private” searching?

Also, any clue as to the search engine used by WordPress to search the blog from the blog’s page? Does it use Boolean techniques?

@technorati – probably not as Technorati picks up the feed when a ping goes out. Since a provate blog doesn’t ping, it shouldn’t be picking up the feed.

The search form is a search directly into the MySQL database. A quick test shows that it doesn’t support boolean but I may be wrong.
