published post isn’t showing on home page
-
Hello – In the last ten minutes I published a new post, but it’s not showing up on my home page even though it’s marked as “published” under Manage. How can I fix the problem?
-
What’s your blog’s url? Are you sure you’re not looking at a cached copy of your homepage?
-
http://losotrosojos.wordpress.com
I’m afraid I don’t know what a cached copy is, if that’s different from a draft.
-
This is the most recent post I see: http://losotrosojos.wordpress.com/2008/03/15/family-ties/
Is that not the one that should be showing? What SHOULD we be seeing?
-
-
For whatever it’s worth, the page that displays “hunting a muse” also displays the trackback feature, while the page with all my other posts doesn’t. Would the page without trackback be a cached copy?
-
What page is it that displays it? Only the Manage page? I manually made the link http://losotrosojos.wordpress.com/2008/03/17/hunting-a-muse/ and that gives me an error.
What is the datestamp on it? Has it somehow been set to publish in the future?
-
No, I checked the datestamp and it correlates with US CT. – I’ll get the url for the page I find the post on.

Thanks for your help with this matter. Now, I see that my username isn’t showing up as a link, but will start a different topic for that if you so prefer.
-
Okay, just realized that Greenwich time hasn’t changed over to DST yet, so my datestamp actually was in the future from WordPress’s perspective.
-
It won’t. You need to go to your dashboard and Options>General and change your time adjustment by 1 hour.

Ah, cool. Glad this was resolved. And yes, it helps if your username is linked. It helps you, too, because now when you leave comments on WP.com people can go read your blog.
