Publishing / scheduling posts
-
Since the creation of the new Editor I have had several problems when scheduling posts as on 3 occasions when scheduling they have been posted instead. This is quite embarrassing as I have to quickly re-amend it, but all my followers would have been emailed that the post is live.
This never happened to me during the old Editor.
Any chance we could develop a better system for this or a warning message before a post goes live.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Howdy –
Can you tell me if you are working in the web browser? Or using the desktop / mobile app? Also, include the exact steps you’re taking when you set up a scheduled post so I can try to replicate the issue on my end.

Hi there,
I’m working in Chroma on a Windows laptop.
I think the problem is that the schedule button is so small and if you don’t click the button quickly only it will publish it as the button changes to publish immediately afterwards.
Have you considered inserting a warning message before you publish to avoid these kinds of mistakes?

Could you share a screen shot of what you are seeing? You do not need to add it in to a post or publish it on the blog, just add it to your media library so I can take a peek.
Here’s how you do it: https://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/
It should look like this: https://cloudup.com/c8I4ObEedx4
If you hover your mouse cursor next to the “publish” button on top of the calendar icon you’ll see a little text box pop up that says “Set date and time”. Click there to schedule a post. It will look like this: https://cloudup.com/cgI02pudXQo

Yes it does look like this. And I can schedule blogs. My point is that the button is too small. Could you do a different button for publish and schedule so you don’t by mistake publish a blog?
