Put up my second blog post and my first one has disappeared, what did i do?

  1. I posted a blog for an assignment, then following that i created a new post, after i finished that my first blog post has disappeared. I did my assignment directly on it and am hoping there is a way to bring it back since there have been so many draft saves.

The blog I need help with is

  2. You may be able to recover an earlier post revision. Go to Posts > All Posts, hover over the title of the post, click Edit and check the Post Revisions module for previous saved versions of the post.

If you're not seeing the Revisions module while on the editor screen, click Screen Options (top right corner of your Admin page) to activate it. Then select the post and page modules to include them. Then you ought to be able to go here > Dashboard > All Posts > Posts and locate the post and recover it from post revisions.

If you cannot locate the post for locating and restoring a post revision, and it's not in your Trash folder then you will not be able to recover it.

Did you create your post on the dashboard of your own blog?
Dashboard > Posts > All Posts > Add New

Or did you create your post on the front page of!/post/

  3. No luck, its not in the trash and its not even showing up on my list of blogs. Checked everything you said and no results.

  4. Did you perhaps create the blog post by just Editing the previous blog post? If so, it should be in Revisions somewhere. You need to create new posts via the dashboard New Posts page.

  5. Did all that, it was a brand new post. I checked past revisions of the 2nd one and its only the second one from the start.

  6. People are just going to think i'm just an idiot and doing something wrong but i can tell you its not on my end. Its gone, its ridiculous and I now have to redo the project because it's due tomorrow. not in revisions, not in trash, not in posts

  7. What was the title?

  8. Social Media Tools for Work & Self Promotion

  9. I searched Google back that was non-productive. I di however find a post with that exact same title here I wonder if that's also your blog. Is it?

  10. sadly no, it's an assignment so that title is a requirement.

  11. Hmm ... Well, there sure is an abundance of posts already in Google's cache that have the exact same title.

  12. i know, that's the painful part. Thank you for your help, forget it now. i'm just redoing it.
