    Am I right in thinking that it is not possible to put a sticky at the foot of my front page? I use the Ocean Mist theme.

    The blog I need help with is dickiebo.wordpress.com.

    I don’t know exactly what you mean. I’m assuming you wish to cover or remove the information in the footer of a wordpress.com blog. If this is so then know that you can only do that if you have the CSS upgrade, and CSS editing experience, as there is not staff support for CSS editing. Know also that Staff have requested previously that the footer be kept intact. That way others clearly know that yours is a free hosted blog and they can have one too.

    Bottom line: This is an ethical issue. If you remove the links in the footer you are implying that you created your own theme when you did not. You are also implying that you are self hosting your own self created theme, on your own personal servers when this is not the case.

    This code puts a short line of text at the level where it says, “categories”
    It looks good in FireFox, less good in Sarfari, and no idea how it looks in Explorer

    <div align="center" style="width:100%;bottom:342px;left:105px;position:absolute;">
    <div style="width:702px;">
    <table border="0" align="left">
    <tr>
    <td style="background:transparent;padding:2px;">
    TEXT_HERE—Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetur adipiscing elit.
    </td>
    </tr>
    </table>
    </div></div>

    Sorry. I should have been more explicit.
    I want to re-position my Guest Book from the top of the post, to the bottom, as I think that it is too ‘in your face’ at the top!
    I am aware that WordPress don’t want their bit removed.

    Most blogger I know who have guestbooks place them on static pages, rather than placing them in posts. That way they are prominent and can be easily found by readers regardless of what’s on the front page (running posts page) of the blog. Are you sure that’s not what you want to do as well?

    No problem … we all have those moments – me more frequently than others, it seems.
