I am currently using the Vigilance theme. I have a question regarding the alert box. I would like to post a contact me button on the alert box or maybe on the sidebar menu so that way people can click on the button and send me an email. Would that be possible and how would I do that?

The blog I need help with is thegfdigest.wordpress.com.

I know how to add the image in my sidebar but I don’t know how to make the image a link that will compose an e-mail.

The easiest way would be to create things in a draft post (so you have the visual editor features) and then when you have it like you want it, switch to the HTML tab, copy everything in that window and then paste it into the alert box.

You might consider using the contact form instead of using your email address though since the spambots constantly scan the internet looking for email addresses and you could end up with a flooded email inbox. You can link to the contact form in the same way you would link to any other page or URL.

Here’s the link to the support documentation entry on creating a contact form. If your do set one up then please be sure to type the shortcode, rather than copying and pasting it.
