Rated Blogs

  • It would be helpful, I think, to get an understanding of where a particular blog stands in relation to the other quadrillion blogs on WP.com. There are some variables that I can think of. The length of time, for instance, between the day with the most views, and the current day. Also, stats in general, comments, likes … there are a lot of variables that could potentially help “rate” a blog.

This is in the spirit of what used to be on the dashboard. Certainly if WP could have told us what the top ten blog posts were that day, they would have the stats to tell us where each blog stands in relation to the whole.

Just a thought. :-) Hope all are well.

  • How depressing would that be?

The top blog got 19,043,749 views. You got 28. You are ranked #24,987,567th of all 30 million blogs on WordPress.

  • Not quite 24,987,567 – alexa.com ranks rastallian’s blog at 4,302,952

Rastallian, I think it is better to use things like alexa.com and Quantcast.com – after all, WP is only a part of the whole, despite what they might aspire to.

  • Or maybe put the rating into 5 categories? Like:
    How interesting it is
How much it helps me answering my questions
would i recommend it to others
does the owner cares about the blog
How long time ago was it created

It’s just example, but maybe it would clarify what’s where :)
    cheers
