Rating system stuck on a certain post
I have searched for reliable answers to my problem and came up with no results so I decided to seek help here. Thank you in advance.
A particular post’s ratings on my blog are stuck, i.e. unless how many times you vote for it and unless on how many machines/browsers (I have tried with Google Chrome, Opera, Mozilla Firefox and on Windows XP and Windows 7 operating systems, plus three different computers), the count of ratings won’t go up. It is currently stuck at 6 votes. This issue has persisted for about a week.
The post I am talking about can be viewed here: http://thechronicr.wordpress.com/2011/11/08/album-review-ceremonials-florence-the-machine-2/
Does anyone have any idea why this would happen, and why only to this post? I had similar problems before, but never did they persist for more than one-two days.
The blog I need help with is thechronicr.wordpress.com.
I clicked a thumbs up on the first comment by “jan” and it worked fine for me. I’m using Firefox 8. Which browser and version of it are you using? Have you tried clearing your browser cache and cookies?
Thank you for your reply Timethief. I mentioned the browsers I have used in my first post.
I think the problem solved itself on this post. However it reappeared quickly on other posts as I was told. I decided to disable the rating system on my blog altogether recently. Simple as that!
Cheers and thanks for your assistance once more.
Gosh I’m sorry that happened to you. :( Are you sure you don’t want to report this to Staff? If you do then here’s the link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ After you use the searchbox, under the search results, at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form.
