Why is it that when I log on in in the morning there are specific entries in the “referrers” section having to do with the search term and phrases that have been used that day to find my blog, but later on in the day they don’t show up? I find them very helpful in refining my tags, and can’t figure out why they don’t stay put. can someone explain? Thanks.
The blog I need help with is themonstachronicles.com.
I’m sorry but that sounds to me like a question that only Staff can answer. Here’s the link http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ After you use the searchbox, under the search results, at the bottom of the page there will be a section that says “Have you found the answer to your question?” You can choose either “Yes I found the answer to my question.” or “No I didn’t find the answer to my question and I would like to contact support for help.” The no option will reveal the contact form.
BTW I forgot to point out that your Google webmasters account contains all search terms used to locate your blog.
wow, timethief, once again you have given me great info. One thing, though. I went to the google webmasters link, and was able to download the necessary file, but where do I go on WP to upload it? i am quite ignorant on these matters; fortunately for me you guys usually are not. am looking forward to getting more information about the people who are arriving out of the ether to my blog. Thanks again.
You don’t and can’t upload that file into your blog. There is no FTP access to our free hosted WordPress.com blogs.
If you look on your dashboard for WebHooks you can find a place to put in your Google Webmaster code.
I am seeing mothing on my dashboard for WebHooks. Can you give me more info? Thx
A good discussion. Keep that up!
Spam. Don’t do that again.
