What is the easiest way to resize an image in a blog? For example, in my latest blog, I have an IRS image size 300px x 300px. I want to reduce it to size 150px x 150px or even 75px x 75px.

I was trying to insert an image but now don’t know how to resize it.

The blog in question is this one:

    Internal Revenue Bulletin

Do i need to delete the image and then insert the correct sized one or is their an easy way to do all this automatically.

    My active site is this:
    http://mytaxsite.co.uk

    Thanks.

The blog I need help with is mytaxsite.co.uk.

The image in your latest post is captioned. Are you asking about captioned images or plain ones?

Yes it is the captioned image. I just want to make it smaller.

I can delete it and then load a smaller one but just want to know if there is another way.

    Thanks.

Easiest (but imprecise) way: click on the image in the Visual editor, click a percentage, click Update (image), click Update (post).

For future posts, you can go to Settings > Media and set your preferred widths for the thumbnail, medium and large options.

But note that images downsized by WP lose some color and sharpness. You get better quality on the post if you use an image editing application to downzise copies of your images to the desired pixel width then upload and insert those copies.

Sorry, forgot to mention one step: click on the image in the Visual editor, click the Edit tool (mountain icon), click a percentage, etc.
