    Hi all

    I’m having difficulty resizing the black box that overlays the slider featured content image on the home page.

    Essentially I just want to reduce it’s width.

    Thank you for any help

    The blog I need help with is www.personaleconomics.com.au.

    The original code for that area is:

    .slider .featured-content .entry-header {
        width: 50%;
    }

    Modify that number to get the width you want. You can probably also use px too, e.g: 100px, if you want to be more precise.

    Hi hfzrhmn

    Thank you for your response, I changed that width to 30% and did not notice a difference, which makes me wonder if the 2014 extended plugin I have active is overriding the modifications to the style.css.

    Thank you again for taking the time to respond.

    Since your site not hosted here at WordPress.com and is self-hosted using the Twenty Fourteen theme, the best place to ask would be at the WordPress.org Twenty Fourteen theme support forum.
