'Recent Comments' Widget showing internal links

I was hoping to add the ‘Recent Comments’ widget to the sidebar of my site. However, as well as showing memeber comments (which is what I am after) it also shows everytime I link between blogs.

Is there anyway to prevent these internal links showing as comments and just acting as normal links? Or is there anyway to hide them within the widget?

The blog I need help with is elyriaecho.com.

    Those are called pingbacks/trackbacks.

To remove the internal links currently displaying, the best way is to delete them.

If you want to avoid any pingbacks/trackbacks from showing up in the future, you’ll have to tweak the Discussion settings.
    See this doc https://en.support.wordpress.com/enable-disable-comments-for-future-posts-pages/
You’ll want to uncheck “Allow link notifications from other blogs (pingbacks and trackbacks)”.

Personally, I leave the option on and manually delete those internal links which show up in the comments. Sometimes other blogs link to yours, which can be a nice little accolade.

Thank you Guiava, that is perfect.
