Recipe PDF download
You can make a PDF file – and upload it to your site – do just the same as for pictures but use the other media icon – looks like a sun sort of – then they just click on the Text link that you uploaded and linked the PDF file to – I do it all the time on my site – the only gotcha is the Text you highlight when you upload the file changes it’s name to the uploaded file name – but you can change the text when the box shows up that you click on to insert into the post –

You could also add a service like PrintFriendly to your sharing options. It can automatically generate a printer-friendly or PDF version of your article.
I don’t know if this has happened to anyone who has used PrintFriendly service. When I am connected to the web via a 3G HSDPA modem, using the service (at the point where I clicked on the PDF button) consistently disconnects the network. I had a friend try this at his work place and the same thing happened to him.

Me neither! My response is to the original poster who would really like to add an option for readers to download a PDF, and embedit is one of the solutions that makes that possible in wordpress.com.
