I have found my own email coming up as a referrer on my stats page. Does that mean that someone can actually log into my email? Can someone please explain how that works, I’m a little worried about this.
If your question is not answered here https://en.support.wordpress.com/stats/#referrers then when we need Staff help with issues Volunteers cannot resolve like this one we type modlook into the sidebar tags on our forum threads. How do I get a Moderator/Staff reply for my question? https://en.support.wordpress.com/getting-help-in-the-forums/#how-do-i-get-a-moderatorstaff-reply-for-my-question Then we subscribe to this thread so we are notified when they respond. Thank you. I have now added modlook
You’re welcome. Please be patient while waiting.
Thank you. I appreciate your help.
Are you referring to the mail.google.com link? That’s not necessarily your email account, even though your email account opens when you click it. That’s only because that’s the account you’re logged into. If I click that link my email account loads instead.
So, all that link really means is someone with a Gmail account is visiting your blog via a notification they received via email.
Still, it’s a good idea to update your passwords regularly, and if you have any doubts I’d say no time like the present :)
Of course. Why didn’t I think of that myself? Thanks, A LOT for getting back to me. I really appreciate it.
Glad I could help :)
