refreshing news reader

  1. I don't speak English vey well, so sorry for my mistakes.

Mi problem is that for each article I want to show just a little summary, not the whole text. I selected the option "summary" from Settings>>Reading but all my page keep showing the full articles except one. ThereĀ“s no reason for this single article that only shows a summary, just the beginning of the full article.

At the bottom of the reading settings says "Changes may not appear until you create a new post or your news reader refreshes."

I created a new post and changes didn't appear.

--------> What does it mean to refresh the news reader?

    Thank you.

The blog I need help with is

  2. Please always give us a link to your blog, starting with http, when you ask a question. We need to see it.

  3. Thank you.

When I look at your feed: I see only a summary. You are probably seeing old full feeds because you haven't refreshed your news reader. Clear your browser cache and cookies, and sign out of your browser. Then sign back in and look again; the changes should show up. They are appearing for other people right now.

  4. Hi there, I'm having the exact same problem :

I have cleared my cache and cookies, and still get the full story.

    Any ideas?

  5. @redcube, if you look at what is coming out of wordpress at , the feed shows summaries for all posts in your feed. If you are using a feed reader such as Feedburner, Google or Yahoo, etc., it will depend on how often they reload the feeds and refresh their caches as to when it will correct. Typically I've seen them correct after changes to settings within an hour or so, but it all depends on how busy the servers and such are. At busy times of the day it may take longer for it to update.

@xigoina, the same is true for your feed. What is being put out by wordpress shows the summaries for all posts on you feed: . Again, it depends on how often the feed services scan feeds and refresh their caches.
