Why is my domain name not loading?

I registered the domain amiebart.com but it’s not loading and I can’t get to a place to edit it and work on it…maybe I’m being really slow and just missing something obvious? I made it my primary page.

    Any help would be great.

Hi Amie! I was just able to load your site at http://amiebart.com/

Keep in mind that all domain-related changes can take up to 72 hours to fully propagate. During that time the domain may not load correctly.

If you’ve just recently set the domain name up you may need to wait just a bit to access it. You can also try clearing your cache and cookies.

yes, I see, it just loaded for me too! :)

now my next question is, I was under the impression that I could have a registered domain, and keep my free wordpress site separate…is that true?

(Maybe I should’ve given my brain some cool down time after senior thesis and graduation before starting this up… :p)

Your custom domain name applies over any WordPress.com site that you like. Right now it’s applying over your site at:

We could move this domain mapping for you if you like. Or, you could create another free WordPress.com site. You can always sign up for another free site at:

If you could move it to amiebart.wordpress.com that would be great! You are really helpful, thanks so much.

I can’t move your domain name mapping at the moment as the two sites sunnydayeventphotography.wordpress.com and amiebart.wordpress.com belong to different users.

You should add user sunnydayeventphotography to amiebart.wordpress.com in order to allow this operation.

Okay I’ve added Sunny Day to Amie B as a contributor

I’ve moved the domain mapping of amiebart.com from sunnydayeventphotography.wordpress.com to amiebart.wordpress.com.

Let us know if you need any further help. :)

thank you!!! you guys have been so great.
