registered domain to account i deleted
The blog I need help with is happynewlear.wordpress.com.
I moved your domain mapping for happynewlear.com to happynewlear.wordpress.com.
It appears that you are using domain forwarding for happynewlear.com, which we don’t support. Please go to your domain registrar’s site and log into the control panel. You will need to update the name servers as below:
Once this is done, please review your subscription settings under Store > My Upgrades (where you can re-enable auto-renew settings) and set your custom domain as primary under Store > Domains.
For more information, please visit the help documentation provided by the registrar and our support page:
I already updated the nameservers, however, when I go to link the domain in wp- its says my domain is linked to an old wp blog that I deleted. How can i reroute the domain when I can no longer access the deleted account?
You are very close to being all set up! The final step is to set the new domain (well, happynewlear.com) as your primary domain on the blog happynewlear.wordpress.com.
To do that, go to your Domains page (Store > Domains), and click on the button for “happynewlear.com” to move the primary domain from “happynewlear.wordpress.com” to “happynewlear.com.” It will take a few minutes to propagate, and then you should be all set!
I tried to do that but it wouldn’t let me because the domain is registered to a non existing account now. It says this domain is already linked to another account. How I can redirect it?
I was able to make this change for you; so I think that when you weren’t able to, it was probably a browser issue. You may want to clear your cache, so you don’t run into this with other features, too.
Here is more information about how to clear your cache and cookies:
Let me know if, after clearing the cache, you are still having issues seeing that domain working correctly.
Thanks so much! Its working now!
