Reklame

  1. Hei!
Det har dukket opp reklame på siden startoppsalten.no. Hvordan har det gått til? Jeg ønsker i alle fall ikke dette.
    Mvh Heidi Zakariassen

The blog I need help with is startoppsalten.wordpress.com.

  2. From Norwegian:

    Hi!
There have been advertising on the site startoppsalten.no. How has it been? I certainly do not want this.

Ads have been appearing on WordPress.COM sites since 2006.

Unless you purchase a Personal plan http://wordpress.com/pricing or a higher level Premium or Business Plan there will be ads placed by WordPress.COM on your site.

If the ads you see are found at the end of blog posts then provided you see this small About These Ads link then what you are seeing is WordPress.com generated advertising. http://en.wordpress.com/about-these-ads/

Any other ads appearing to you are not placed by WordPress.com. You have an issue on your browser or computer. They are being placed there by software on your own computer, unfortunately. These ads are sometimes caused by malware or a virus, but more often it is due to a browser extension or toolbar that you may have installed in your browser.

These sites have further explanation and suggestions for eliminating the ads:

If you need Staff help about ads appearing on the site type modlook into the sidebar tags on a support forum thread, after providing screenshots.

You can use http://snag.gy/ or http://cloudup.com to share screenshots and link to them here. If you use the WordPress.com guide for screenshots http://en.support.wordpress.com/make-a-screenshot/ you can and upload it to your Media Library, and return to this thread to provide the file name so Staff can examine it.

  3. Hi @startoppsalten, that domain seems to be forwarded here, which is likely causing issues for you. You'd be welcome to get a plan and map it instead, so we could help you fix the domain, and that would also get rid of the ads.

As timethief mentioned, all of our free sites may have ads on them. But, they should display with fairly unobtrusive positioning, so if you're having trouble with the ads that are displaying, send a screenshot so we can take a look.

You can either upload it at wordpress.com/media, or upload it to Cloudup or Dropbox and send us a link. Be sure to update us here, too.
