I really would like to generate related posts under each blog post. Is this possible in any way?
If not, should I consider moving to wordpress.org or to another blogging platform, and if I do, what are the considerations?
The blog I need help with is wordstodeeds.com.
Yes, it’s easy. Just use Zemanta, which is built in to our blogs as an option (I believe it’s in Settings) or you can use as a browser add-on downloaded from Zemanta.com/. If you use the browser extension, you can even configure it to pull only from your own blog.
I’m afraid I can’t find Zemanta. :-(
I just looked up Zemanta’s blog, and I think my initial question wasn’t clear. What I want is a widget or tool that will show, under the current post, suggestions for other posts on my blog that the reader might be interested in. On many blogs it’s presented as “Other posts you might like/be interested in” or something similar.
That is what Zemanta does, among MANY other things. http://www.zemanta.com/related-blog-posts/
Hi again raincoaster.
I must be really dumb because I have read through the notes and FAQs published on 16 July, and I have activated it on my blog, but I can only see suggestions to outside my blog, but not automatic suggestions to posts within my blog.
In addition, I would like it to work on old posts too, not just new ones I create.
I don’t know that you can configure the within-WP.com version. You CAN configure the browser add-on and tell it which blogs to pull from.
Thanks Raincoaster. But then I would have to add them manually to my post, right?
