Let me just preface this by saying, I'm not a coder, I'm a blogger and my HTML skills are over a decade old, I need as simple a solution as there is to be had. That being said...
I generally use windows live writer to remote publish blog posts and upload drafts. The last post I published was on 5th July I think, and about two weeks later when I went to upload my latest post, I started to get this error message;
Network Connection Error-error attempting to connect to blog at:
The underlying connection was closed: an unexpected error occurred on a receive
This verbatim the message that I get every time I tried to upload a draft. I'd just gotten and set up a new modem and I figured that was what the issue was since it had happened before, what fixed that the last time was re-installing the latest version of WordPress, but I decided to try and connect first through two different hotspots, and the WiFi at work, all to the same effect, that error message. I went ahead and reinstalled wordpress anyway on the off chance that it mught work, it didn't.
I've spoken to my hosting company (GoDaddy), who's assured me that is issue isn't on their end, and also tried to see if they could fix it, no go.
Does anyone know what exactly this error is and how to fix it? I've been scouring the web with regards to the XLMRPC file and a workaround of the whole thing, my issue is I don't know where to locate the file. Theoretically, I should be able to fix it, my HTML is old, but I can still read. Time is of the essence as I have a sponsored post due in a few days time. And before anyone asks why I don't use the WP editor for the post, I'll answer. The WP and particular theme that I have doesn't give me enough flexibility with media images which for a beauty blog is kind of a big deal, so I use WL because it allows me greater latitude with photos, and formatting.
Any help would be greatly appreciated and thanks in advance.
The blog I need help with is prettylittlesyko.com.
