    Hi everyone,

we’ve made a (free) website for our local school: https://ahansschool.wordpress.com/

Lately, we see a lot of adds on several of our pages. Is it possible to block adds from our site? Being a school website, we don’t want any kind of add of any kind of product on our site….
    What are our options?

    Thanks in advance!

The blog I need help with is ahansschool.wordpress.com.

    – To remove the ads from your website you have to upgrade your site from free plan to personal plan.

To eliminate ads on your blog entirely, you can purchase our WordPress.com Personal, WordPress.com Premium, or WordPress.com Business plans.

To get more informations about No ads here is the support documentation for that :
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/no-ads/

To know more about upgrading the plan and plans features and prices. Here is the support link for the same:
    https://wordpress.com/pricing/

    Hope this helps.

    Hi shubhamgmath,

thanks for the quick answer. Indeed it seems the best option to go for the Personal Plan.
When I choose that option and I click on ‘Start with Personal’ , wordpress suggests to create a new site (https://wordpress.com/start/personal/about Let’s make a site ) . However, that’s not our intention. We just want to ‘upgrade’ our already existing website. How do we handle this?

    Again, thanks in advance.

    Grtz,

Hi there, did you register the site ahansschool.wordpress.com using the account that you are posting from here or do you have the Admin user role on that site?

If so, you should be able to register the Personal plan from this dashboard> https://wordpress.com/plans/ahansschool.wordpress.com

Let us know how that goes.

    Hi there,

If you click on the link @justjennifer provided you’ll be able to upgrade to the Personal plan without creating a new site.

Please let me know if you’re still having trouble upgrading and I’ll help you out.
