Remove comment box from Page?

  1. Hi, I'm a complete newb to WordPress and I'm trying to build a website for my small business. I want to remove the comment box from all the Pages (I don't want people to be able to comment on them, as the Pages are only for information about my business). However, I still want people to be able to comment on my blog posts.

Is this possible? I'm using the Twenty Eleven theme.

Any help would be gratefully received :)

The blog I need help with is

  2. Yes, but you have to turn off the commenting on each Page. Go to Edit the page and then I believe it's underneath the Write box you'll find Discussion settings to disable comments.

  3. If the discussion module is not there on the edit post page below the text area, click on screen options at top right and enable it.

  4. Brilliant - thanks to you both! I never even noticed that screen options button, so that's something else I've learned.

  5. You are welcome from me.

  6. and me too.

  7. I was facing the same problem. Thank you guys for this great help :)

  8. This page > Settings > Discussion
Discussion settings is where you set up defaults for comments.
We can also override the default settings and enable or disable future comments on any post or page.
Depending on the theme we use when we close comments a phrase like "comments closed" or a similar phrase may appear and if so, it can only be removed by CSS editing after purchasing a custom design upgrade.
