Does anyone know how to remove the word “blog” from the bottom of page, in the phrase “Blog at”? Mine is intended as a static site rather than a blog. I’d much appreciate your suggestions!

That’s not allowed and it’s not relevant as in fact every blog is a website. This is simply semantics. A post based website is called a blog and a page based website is called a site. So what? They are both websites.

May I remove credit links such as ‘Blog at’, theme, font, or toolbar links?
All bloggers are required to maintain the credit links, even our VIP bloggers. Please do not hide or alter text or links for the footer credits or the toolbar. Modifying the style of the footer text (i.e. colors and font size) is fine as long as it’s still readable.

Thanks so much for replying. I have no problem with the credit to WordPress; it’s just the word “blog” that bugs me. I want to develop a separate “blog” that would be more active and ongoing—as opposed to the “site”, which I want to be more static and informational. To avoid potential confusing of the two, I would prefer the word “Site” over “Blog”, as the prefix in the bottom page credit. Is it possible to change “Blog” into “Site”? Thanks in advance for your reply.

This thread for last week address your question – the change is not allowed – note the confirming by the staff that changes in wording are not allowed
