Removing "Create a free website or blog at WordPress.com."
Apologies, the site I need help for is
That’s not allowed. Removing footer credit links is a ToS violation.

Changing the footer text is not allowed, but it’s possible to add your own text to the footer area using CSS if you have purchased the Custom Design upgrade.

After you purchase the upgrade you can use this link https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform so you can copy and paste your text into a thread that will appear in the CSS Forum where you will get the help you need.
OH RATS! I’m so sorry I just noticed this thread was already in the CSS Editing forum. I do apologize. Please ignore my comment and wait patiently for another Volunteer or Staff to help you.

Still does not matter – the footer credits can’t be removed as @TT has links to above – you can add something ahead or behind the footer credits – but if you remove the credits you blog will be suspended
Okay so I can’t remove it, but I can change it instead to say something else when I purchase the Custom Design?
Thank you for your help!
Something else like what, specifically?
Please place the exact text that you want to appear in a text widget. Then when a Volunteer who helps with CSS editing or Staff gets here they will have something to work with.

No – the words stay the same – that is the Terms of Service that @TT quotes above

Thanks allot for your help.
