I would like to map it to another of my wordpress blogs instead but I don’t see an option to delete it from the original blog. Am I looking in the right place? The blog I need help with is danb377.wordpress.com. March 26, 2009 at 8:09 pm #347215 carocatMember Are you looking on the manage domains screen? All the way on the bottom left hand navigation on the dashboard there’s Upgrades -> Domains. Going there should give you two domains, your custom one and the original one [“WHATEVER.wordpress.com”]. Click the little button next to it and hit ‘update primary domain’. Then you should be able to map it to another one. Keep in mind, however, that the cost for the domain upgrade is on a per blog basis, so if you’ve paid for the upgrade $10/year for blog A you will have to pay the same amount again for blog B. If you’ve mapped the domain accidently though, it might be worth contacting support and see if they change the subscription over. http://support.wordpress.com/ Hope this helps. And it won’t let me attach it to my new blog either. March 26, 2009 at 10:45 pm #347239 carocatMember What happens when you try to add it to your new blog? And I believe it should say primary domain updated. Have you tried accessing it with your own domain after that? Author Posts The topic ‘removing domain mapped to wordpress’ is closed to new replies.
