Removing gradients in contempt theme and using a repeating image as a background

    Hello, I’m currently using the contempt theme on my blog (linked to my name) and I was wondering if I could remove those grey gradients and replace them with a solid color? Ive looked over the stylesheet and can’t seem to find anything that would correspond to that. Aside from flat out removing it, is there something I could add to overlap them?

    Secondly, I am looking to replace the black background with an image, what is the css code for doing that?

    Thank you for your time.

    Actually, I looked at it and it seems that the grey is in the underlying theme files. Using the developer’s toolbar for Firefox, I found this:

    style = background: transparent url(http://s3.wordpress.com/wp-content/themes/pub/contempt/images/blue_flower/pagebar.jpg) repeat scroll 0% 0%; -moz-background-clip: -moz-initial; -moz-background-origin: -moz-initial; -moz-background-inline-policy: -moz-initial;

    That is in the #pagebar element.

    As for the background, you should be able to put the url in the body element.

    I’m no CSS guru – I’ve learned as I went along. But I’m telling you: get the developer’s toolbar for Firefox and you’ll be amazed at what you can learn about CSS. (Normally I’d say get Firebug, too, but for some reason, it’s not been working for me lately.)
