    Hi guys

Firstly, thanks for all the great work the vollies do! I’ve resolved lots of my questions by following the suggestions you have made.

There are a few things I’m stumped on though. This is the site i’m working on

I’ve done everything I’d like to do except remove search, archive, and categories from the blog. Is anyone able to make any suggestions on that ? THanks again

The blog I need help with is

If you remove those, you will have a lot fewer hits. Readers LOVE those things. does not appear to exist. Are you sure that’s the correct URL?

#807612 my apologies – i hear what you’re saying, but not sure they suit what i’m trying to do with more of a static site? i’d also like to remove the author????? I’m really grateful that you replied so quickly – thanks so much!

To remove the widgets from the sidebar go here > Appearamce > Widgets and place only one text widget with no content or title in the sidebar.

To remove “author” and other mrata data you will be required to purchase an anually renewable custom design upgrade and then do the required CSS editing. Note that all CSS editing here is theme specific.

edite: “mrata” was meant to be “meta data” (from the posts) – sorry

oh thanks heaps that has helped enormously – only other question is about changing the favicon – should i start up a new post for that:?????

    Usually yes.

Try a search of the forum first for “favicon” and “blavatar” and see if your question’s been answered already though.

I’m glad I was able to help you with the other issues. See here please for an answer to the new one > blavatar
Scroll down below the video for best practices for uploading images for use as Gravatars, Avatars, Blavatars

you guys seriously rock! Thanks heaps!

You’re welcome and thanks for you kind words. :)
