replying to a comment
Not unless you have comment notification turned out and they have chosen to receive notification of comments on that post. See “subscribe to comments” toward the bottom of this support document: http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/ .
Thanks, but I’m a little unclear on this still….you said, “Not unless you have comment notification turned out” –evidently a typo there, did you mean “turned on” or “turned off”?
In the Comments portion of the Settings for my blog, I have these turned on ; “Email me when…Anyone posts a comment “, and “Comment author must fill out name and e-mail “.
Is either of these relevant to my question?
I believe that @thesacredpath is trying to say that, under the comment box on your post is a check box marked “Notify me of follow-up comments via email.” if the reader checks this then yes they will get an email when further comments are made (including your replies).
note, You won’t see this on your own blog as you are the author, If you want to see what I mean visit another wordpress.com blog and look under the comments box to see what I mean.
Please let me know if this helps as I am new and still learning.
