Rescuing saved draft

Just lost a whole piece I’d written… is there a way to locate the various saved drafts?

I have saved the written draft numerous times. I was just shifting around the images (and I save the draft every time I do that) but somehow I’ve gone back to where the draft was this morning.

    Any help/insight would much appreciated

The blog I need help with is

Check your revisions. If you don’t see the Revisions module in the Post editor, you can enable it through the Screen options in the upper right corner of the screen.

I just lost an entire draft, too. It is just gone, and I saved the draft. I don’t see any revision options in the upper right screen of the post editor. Is there any way to get this back? I had not published it, and I had not created a title. Is that the problem – no title?

In your Dashboard view, on the upper right corner, under the “[name]” is a tab labeled “Screen Options.” Click it. Here is a list o f the screens where the modules can be hidden:
Posts – Post Tags, Categories, Excerpt, Send Trackbacks, Discussion, Comments, Post Slug, Post Author, Post Revisions
Page – Page Attributes, Recommendations, Featured Image, Discussion, Comments, Slug, Author, Revisions
Select those and return to your Dashboard.

Make sure you select Select Post Revisions and Page Revisions those and return to your Dashboard. Then close the tab.

Then please try this step by step walk through > Recovering a lost blog post or page

P.S. In the future if you use an offline blog editor there will be a backup on your own computer of every post and page you create in it and publish from it to your blog.

There is nothing like that in my screen options except for show revisions. I had saved a draft, logged out and then come back to publish. I am mystified. I do not understand what an offline blog editor is. Seems to be important, though.
