Resizing the post editor box
My post editor box/window has turned into an extremely long column, putting the template, trackbacks, links, etc. well out of sight and easy reach. I’ve repeatedly dragged the window back to a reasonable size, but it won’t stay that way. Every time I start a new post, the very long column returns.
Extremely annoying. Help, please.
The blog I need help with is piedtype.com.
That should have a “memory” and stay at the size you drag it to. Can you try clearing your cache and seeing if that helps? Here is more information about how to do that:
It looks like you’re in Chrome – what version are you running?
Cleared the cache (Chrome Version 23.0.1271.101) and logged out. Logged back in, dragged the window to a smaller size, refreshed the page, and it popped back to the long column. Dragged it to smaller size again and closed the page. Opened the page and the column was long again. Same thing happens in Firefox (also the latest version). Nothing seems to work. :(
I was just logged in as you, and that is probably the largest text edit window I’ve ever seen! I made it much smaller and saved a blank draft. I started a new draft (that I didn’t save) and the window looked like it kept my sizing. I logged out, logged back in, and started a new draft, and it looks like it took!
Could you check and let me know if you see a smaller editor window as well?
Whee!! It’s still small!! I had tried saving a small, blank draft too, and it didn’t work. Maybe it just needed the hand of The Boss! Thank you so much, Boss.
Hope your holidays are wonderful. Cheers!
Hey hey hey, Bruce is the Boss; you can call me Zandy ;)
Happy to help! And thank you for those kind words! Happy holidays to you and yours :)
