How do I delete old revisions to a post?
The blog I need help with is cyberdreamlady.wordpress.com.
You don’t. The software creates them and retains 25 of them.
Thank you for your prompt reply timethief.
This is simply awful especially when it auto saves at 2 minute intervals.
This is definitely something that needs to be fixed. If you cannot delete old revisions you are subject to constant prompting reminders of more recent revisions even if you do not desire to use them. It is too much and as such easily becomes a hassle to locate the revision you desire.
The information on the page you provided a link to is incorrect. I have several auto save revisions for the same page, same post, and I have seen several where the auto save saves a new version independent of the previous just saved two minutes prior.
This makes WordPress less desirable for me and I am sure I am not alone in this. I don’t want my blog to be saved every 2 minutes and I don’t want a list of the 25 latest revisions every time I view a revision.
There should at least be an option to turn off the auto save or to set it at a specific time interval.
I do concede that an auto save feature has its use but this is simply ridiculous and I find it quite unprofessional. I cannot believe that I am the only person that knows how to save their work at regular intervals.
