Hi there, we’re using an rss widget to feed the events calendar from our website to our blog. I’ve noticed that when there are no upcoming events in the calendar the feed on our blog shows an error message saying that the feed might be down and to try again later. Is it possible to get the message on the blog to say ‘No upcoming events’, instead of an error message?

    Many thanks.

The blog I need help with is hfrs-firewire.org.

Maybe this is a Chrome issue. There is no built-in feed reader in Chrome and the feed reader extension is required. Just in case that’s the case here’s the link for that extension https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/nlbjncdgjeocebhnmkbbbdekmmmcbfjd

    Hello There,

I’m sorry to say that this is currently not an option for the RSS widget. You are seeing the error because the feed is returning no items. One possible solution would be to set an event way in the future, like 2020, with the title “Last Event” or “No more upcoming events”. This event would then always show at the bottom of the feed or as the only event if no upcoming events were found.

    I hope this helps.
